Loving someone and being in love are two different things. Being in love is that rush of emotions. It’s that smile on your face when you get cute texts in the morning or that rush of hormones that attack your brain every time you smell her perfume. It’s the way you look at each other and finally feeling like you’re not alone in this world. Like a “damn, someone’s actually made for me” moment. But being in love is so fleeting, so ephemeral. The true test is loving someone; being there for them when they cry and being the reason they laugh. It’s finding compromise and sacrificing. In fact, a lot about love is sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. But you don’t mind because, well, you’re in love.
